After spending a lot of time researching online, I narrowed down my search for a pushchair to three brands – Joolz Geo 2, Egg Stroller and iCandy Peach. My main criteria for the pushchair included, functionality and ease of use, style, comfort, weight and the ability to convert to a tandem pushchair in the future. All three were strong contenders.
After test driving the pushchairs in store, I decided to buy the Egg Stroller in Regal Navy. Whilst it’s not the most lightweight or compact of pushchairs, its functionality was great – smooth steering/manoeuvrability, good suspension, and easy to collapse and fold. It also has durable multi-terrain tyres and a very sturdy frame.
The seat has a three position recline and parent or forward facing option. Other great features include, a spacious shopping basket, raincover, insect net and seat liner. I also purchased the luxurious fleece seat liner, which is great for keeping my baby warm and cosy in the colder months.
You will need to purchase the carrycot or newborn insert, footmuff, and multi car seat adaptors separately though. So when you add all of these things together, it becomes quite expensive. Nevertheless, I expect this pushchair to stand the test of time so hopefully it will turn out to be a good investment!
Tip: Lamaze Freddie the Firefly is a fantastic take along toy that can easily hook on to the pushchair. It helps to distract my baby whilst I’m strapping him in and also keeps him entertained when we’re on the go.
